If you shift my couch, you'll take away the biggest task for me
3 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Southwark.
- Monday, 12th of March 2018
Tonight, three lovely runners popped to Mr J's to get things ready for his arrival home from hospital.
Anna, Dom and Beth arrived at Mr J's and were let in by his brilliant neighbour, who popped in with them to go over what needed doing. The main task was to clear the living room so that a hospital bed could be popped in so that Mr J could live more comfortably and safely in a smaller space.
Shift, heave and look at tight doorways with furrowed brows we did, and after a while we'd done as much as we could in the space available while also removing some obstacles and rugs that cited as particular trip hazards.
Once we were done, we all set off glad that we'd done our small part in helping Mr J get home.
(I can only apologise for the title, and for anyone who likes a riveting game of Furniture Moving Cliche Bingo, I was guilty of PIVOT! and tetris/jenga references)
