On a surprisingly sunny Sunday, we met in our usual spot for the monthly Great Salterns litter pick. Our GoodGym mascot Tess was in attendance too. 🐶
Once we had cleaned up the car park area (takeaway boxes, cans, bottles, bags etc) and untangled Catherine from the brambles we headed over to the main green space.
Mel and Judy hot footed it over to the far side of the park while Catherine, Vicki and I took the slower route round the hedgerows. Vicki picked up a bottle and found a mouse inside so we were able to create our very own version of Country File as the bottle was turned on its side and we encouraged him / her to squeeze their way out. Whatever was in the bottle must have been good as the waist and hips took a bit of a squeeze to get out!
Once the mouse rescue was complete we carried on, finding more bottles cans and picnic litter as we went and loading Vicki and Judy up with lots of recycling.
A lovely morning doing good deeds, as always! 😁
