It's a Date!
1 GoodGymer made their way to help their local community in Liverpool.

Our good friends at Waterloo Kitchen had asked if a couple of GoodGymers could sort and redistribute some items of food that were currently sitting in a room, in danger of going out of date.
As the centre is still closed, the food bank items were not being used. Some had already gone out of date, and the kitchen staff were anxious that the rest of the food got to those most in need.
Carol opened up and, along with Mat and I, met with Mike (head chef) and decided on a plan of action. The first task involved checking dates and sorting food accordingly, filling trays and carrying them downstairs to the main hall.
Meanwhile, Carol emptied cupboards and sorted condiments into boxes, ready to be redistributed.
After an hour and a half, and in between hail and heavy rain, Mat's car was loaded and ready to go. Not all of the food would fit, so a number of trays and shelves are waiting for us to finish sorting and collect. The recipients of the food were, as always, immensely grateful.
We will be going back to finish this task, just as soon as we can.
