...if you don't find pants. Sure enough, somebody had abandoned a pair just off the Thames path opposite Port Meadow.

A lot of brambles and vegetation has been cut back along the path, meaning that old detritus is surfacing. The rest of the haul consisted of the usual bottles, crisp packets, tissues, masks, and plastic bags, both from the riverside paths and around the 12th-century Godstow Abbey - plus the Port Meadow-specific finds of fishing bait packaging and random bits of boat.
