Itchen to promote Southampton GoodGym at Parkrun

It was a beautiful morning to volunteer at Itchen Parkrun and spread the word about GoodGym. Dave the RD did a fantastic job of mentioning us at the start of the race. Ellie set of at the back with Blue as Tailwalker (although Blue probably wanted to be with the front runners!) and Wilson cheered the runners around the field and then took up position to issue finish tokens. There were lots of opportunities to talk about GoodGym to the other lovely volunteers (such a great friendly group). And then at the finish Wilson was able to hand out flyers to interested runners..... recruiting not only for Southampton but Portsmouth too! If you haven't given Itchen Valley Parkrun a go I would highly recommend it, such a beautiful one lap course. Thankyou to Helen (Parkrun Communications) for giving us a shout out on their fb page🙏 Hope this is the first of many times GoodGym Southampton will volunteer here 😊
