We had a successful community mission this evening picking up litter in Leazes Park.

Myself and Anji met up, closely followed by Louise and Dan, in the pouring rain.

Louise pointed out that our last group run just before lockdown was a litter pick, so it was great to be reunited (even if it was in a smaller group)

There wasn’t as much litter as we thought there was going to be, which is really good! We managed to collect three bin bags of rubbish between us.

It felt great to be back for the first time since the start of lockdown to complete a good deed. I just love being outdoors, and there is nothing better than chatting, walking and doing good at the same!
