Kneel, arms strong: One defiant weed for mankind
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Islington.
- Saturday, 20th of July 2019
Mrs E needed some help weeding her backyard so Danny and James got to work on a warm Saturday afternoon.
As we weeded a variety of green leafy things from the fully paved area, including some bamboo sprouting in an impossibly narrow strip between the shed and the fence, we chatted away. Danny is running the Asics 10k tomorrow and James is planning to spectate so that was front of mind for both of us.
And there were sights to behold. We saw a cat and a fox on arrival to this mission, but on the way out all we saw was our dreams of pun fame disappearing as we tried but failed to work with the word 'bamboo'. Oh well. Plan b it is. Why chute for bamboo when you can shoot for the moon instead?
