On a beautiful still crisp evening it was a great turn out from my trusty team.
Armed with litter pickers and blue bags the group walked and ran to the pier which we used as our base camp for liaising activities.
Paula Belinda John and, a bit later Duncan too set off for a walk and beach clean
Anne Daisy Paul and a bit later Tamsin were set with the challenge of 4 laps of the pier (which measures 0.6km for each lap) We worked on the perceived exertion scale with 1 being rest and 10 giving it everything.
My mini team worked this brilliantly. I gave them 'guidelines ' on how they should be feeling for each lap with the gradual increase of exertion on each one. Each time they knocked time off as they worked harder. Really excellent work team 👌
We re convened with the walkers / litter pickers and headed back to our start point at Splashpoint. The runners took a slightly longer route back but we ( mainly ) arrived back together
We finished the session with multiple sets of 20 press ups and tricep press ups. and a lot of banter !
Tamsin , Daisy , Anne and Paula even gave the plank challenge a 90 second blast!
Next week its Fitness and Chips so save your energy and appetite for a big night of celebrations in honour of Belinda' s 200 good deeds :)

I love the concept of getting physically and mentally fit whilst combining it with helping others. I run most days.
