It was just three volunteers at the last open day at the Foodshare Shop yesterday. This meant we had to quickly divvi up our tasks and knowledge. I opted for top-up of the shelves while the others would do the Till and Checkout. I got a crash course in identifying what the shop was low on (juices, rice, cereal boxes etc) and then where to look for them in the very large but well organised rest of the Foodbank operation.
It was a thoroughly enjoyable experience even though the customer numbers were low. We then had to move everything, including the heavy cartons of onions and potatoes, to the food storage across the street. It was tiring, fast paced but a fun shift! I look forward to more in the new year.

Sounds like you were much needed and did a great job. Well done! Do you think they need more volunteers for the time you go? Could invite other GoodGymers to join you? X
Thanks Amy!
I can ask Chris the next time I go. I believe 5 people had confirmed but a couple of them dropped out on the day.
