Lidl lesson of the day

Mr P’s shopping list included plenty of detail but having heard that he’d gone without eating for a few days and needs to take daily medication accompanied by food, I was extra keen to get exactly what he likes, so I phoned him to run through his preferences. Then it was off to Lidl to gather everything, using the calculator on my phone to squeeze as much as possible into the basket without the total going over £20. This was the first time I’ve done a shopping mission without first being given cash to spend and I forgot to take a photo of the receipt for reimbursement – oops, just shows there’s always something new to learn!
