‘Litter picking, litter picking, litter all the way. Oh what fun it is to litter pick on a Sunday. Hey!!!
5 GoodGymers made their way to help their local community in Newham.
- Sunday, 6th of December 2020
- Led by Sharon
Waking up to rain doesn’t fill you with joy when litter picking is on the menu but the promise of mince pies ensured I got my butt out of bed.
Kevin and I ran to Wanstead Park and met Paul who had also run over via Wanstead Flats.
Graham and Hilary are training for an ultra so they had an early start and joined us via Epping Forest which was very muddy.
Pickers and bags collected and off we headed on the final pick of 2020. Has been a pleasure helping keep this beautiful park clean and safe for the visitors and wildlife who call their park home.
We headed back to the Temple for a mince pie and a visit to the tea hut for a well earned cup of tea.
We shall be back to help out the Friends of Wanstead Parklands in 2021
