4 GoodGymers made their way to help their local community in Brighton.

Four of us met at the Peace Statue, where Surfers Against Sewage were encouraging people to get involved with their litter picking drive.
We had a chatty run to the King Alfred and walked the beach to the new Rockwater site picking up all the litter we saw as we went. I felt a bit sorry for the sunbathers, didn't they know that picking up litter from the beach is much more fun than sitting on it? And you get a better suntan too!
There wasn't loads and loads of litter (thankfully) as the City Clean workers are doing a great job of collecting the big stuff. We picked up about 5kg of rubbish in around an hour.
Jacob had the richest litter pickings, his haul included a bike lock cable and a dinosaur with Helena in close second with a doll.
