Litterpicking between the showers
2 GoodGymers made their way to help their local community in Windsor and Maidenhead.
- Saturday, 26th of August 2023
- Led by Windsor and Maidenhead runner
Sol and Sheila joined the Green Team for a spot of litterpicking. Despite the rain, there was a good turnout, and the sun soon came out. We started from Boyn Grove Park, and armed with pickers, bags and hoops, Sol and I headed out westwards down the A4. There was plenty of litter to find, but probably less than we have seen in previous sessions, which is encouraging. We made out way back to the park via some more residential streets, which were pretty clean apart from a few hotspots just as the rain started again. Huge kudos to Sol for fitting in the litterpicking session, having already done Park Run, walked to Cookham and back, and had yet to walk home again. We will both sleep well tonight!
