Marathon runners, we are rooting for you! 🌱
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Hackney.
- Sunday, 28th of April 2019
After a morning of cheering and setting up banners at the London Marathon I headed to Hackney to meet Anne at Ms E's house.
Her small garden was becoming overrun with weeds and she needed some help tidying it up.
Anne and I quickly got to work emptying out plant pots, trimming dead lilies and daffodils so they could grow again, getting rid of rubbish and rooting weeds. We then put up a new border so that the foxes couldn't get in and did a bit of sweeping.
With everything finished within an hour, Ms E very kindly insisted on making us a lovely cup of tea and giving us some yummy cake to say thank you.
The garden is now a much nicer place for Ms E to sit for when the sun comes back out!
