More litter than you can shake a (litter picking) stick at!
4 GoodGymers made their way to help the The Canal and River Trust in Birmingham.

Tonight David, who is the vicar at the local St Paul's Church, joined Balal, Annie and Liam for his first GoodGym community mission - it was lovely to have you on board and you were a massive help!
We hadn't been to the canal in quite a while so I went for a run there beforehand to try and gauge the task ahead - and it was quite clear that there was a lot of work to do!
We met outside 1000 Trades and walked to Livery Street where we joined the canal. There was a lot of litter on the canal towpath so we all took a litter pick and bag each and got down to work. We even got a few thanks from members of the public and people asking if they could help out in the future as well! Due to the amount of litter we filled up five large bin bags but only managed about halfway down our section before we had run out of time and had too much litter to carry, so we hope to come back next week and try to make more of a dent into the job!
We left the bags to be collected and finished off with a selfie and had a nice walk back to the Jewellery Quarter from where we began. Well done to everyone who attended tonight - we did a great job!
