Mrs G's magnificent apple tree!
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Wandsworth.
- Saturday, 7th of October 2017
This was a first mission run for Justine and the fourth for Helen. We arrived at Mrs G's house at 10.30am Saturday morning to help with picking her apples, weeding and tidying the garden. Mrs G has three huge apple trees in her backyard which are starting to drop their fruit. We picked up all the old apples and whilst shaking the branches, dodged and collected up all the falling fresh apples for Mrs G. We also spent some time weeding the garden beds and pavement and raking up the leaves. We spend just under 90 minutes helping Mrs G today and she kindly sent us home with a delicious apple each! We hope she thoroughly enjoys her garden and makes some delicious apple pies! Helen and Justine :)
