Ealing

Mission

No pun, just good work to help

2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Ealing.

Myself and Harvey arrived at the property and were greeted by Mrs G. Though she herself seemed unclear as to what she wanted doing me and Harvey proposed clearing the dead matter and gunk that had started to take over the garden.

What I wouldn't give for a powerwasher at the time.

Harvey was brilliant in clearing the bottom of the garden so what was before a matte of dead cuttings became a useable space that Mrs G might avail herself of in the summer.

I cleaned up the stonework by the backdoor of the property and advised Mrs G of professional cleaning services she may wish to contact in order to wipe away the algae and moss properly and unclog the drains which had a fearsome smell!

Whilst working, we got to have a lovely conversation with Mrs G about herself.

Harvey and myself left confident that we had done a little bit to improve both the vision and accessibility of Mrs G's garden.

I subsequently got lost and spent 2 and a half hours trying to cycle back to Hammersmith when it should've taken me 40 minutes.

What fun.
