Oops, upside your bed
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Islington.
- Sunday, 31st of May 2020
Today, two GoodGym runners used their daily exercise to help out Miss J, who needed a hand assembling a new bed.
Abi and I arrived at the task, and Miss J showed us the bed which had been delivered - a nice sturdy one from Argos to replace the old one which had collapsed some months ago. After counting the bits and reading the instructions, we realised some key bits hadn't been delivered - plastic thingies to keep the slats in place.
We discussed this with Miss J, and agreed that we'd do the other 95% of the assembly, and pass on the details of what's missing so that can be chased up in the week. We got to it; and the bed frame was assembled nice and quickly.
We enjoyed chatting with Miss J throughout, and admired her lovely dog art (I'm a sucker for that, especially while pet-broody during lockdown), and then Abi and I set off for a nice picnic in a local park.
