Our last visit to Recyke Y Bike of the year was our last group run of the year and what a great one to end on!
It was brilliant having Michael back after a short hiatus and he joined Paul and I on the uphill walk to the task where Louise was meeting us. We were welcomed by super task owner Sara who as always was prepared and ready to go.
"We love it when you guys are coming. It spurs us into action to get jobs done in preparation for you coming!" - Sara, task owner
Recyke Y Bike have been having a bit of a clear out, and in preparation for their waste collection, our job was to move various piles of bulky rubbish including several large planks of wood, a very heavy fire door and a stack of old screens, to the front of the building. Between the four of us, this didn't take long at all, so we spent the rest of the time sweeping the massive workshop and, in Louise's case, singing some Christmas songs.
There will be some opportunities to stay involved over the festive season including a super snappy community mission in Gateshead this Sunday.
Merry everything!
