A short walk from Grove Farm took Sevan and Kash from the Ealing Borough to Harrow, then to Brent. Harrow, sadly didn't have any GoodGym tasks to offer, but had good kebab shops, so it was worth stopping for lunch.

Mr R, Ms M's husband, welcomed the Ealing volunteers to the back garden that needed a bit more love that he could offer. Since Ms M has had a stroke, both Mr R's health and the previously well-maintained garden have suffered. Mr R tried to tackle the overgrown grass with the help of his powerful tools and his colleague who served as the muscle, but at some point gave up on using Mr R's strimmer.

"Be careful when you use work here", Mr R said, "My colleague has broken the glass".

Sevan and Kash were puzzled about how the colleague managed to crush the double-glazed glass of the conservatory. Kash can be pretty destructive when it comes to grass, invasive plants, and even herself, but ever she wouldn't pull that off with a strimmer!

This time Sevan was going to use the power tool as the taller of the pair. The strimmer was on the heavy side and petrol-powered, but was missing a strap. While Mr R went to buy the new strap, the GoodGymers gave the strimmer a go. Sevan put on the face and ear protection - a real treat to have proper PPE for once at a strimming mission! And here he went - cutting everything green that stood in his way, holding strong onto the tool while being shaken by its vibration like jelly! He managed to cut the grass from half of the garden before the engine died, and Sevan decided to give his arms a break from being jellified. He switched the strimmer to a rake.

In the meantime, Kash was cutting the brambles with the secateurs, eyeing how Sevan controlled the strimmer. After some careful observation, she decided to swap with Sevan and take control of the strimmer - with a strap or without. It was the best decision she made as it didn't require her to bend her injured knee or walk around too much when strimming. Mr R soon arrived with the strap, so Kash finished the strimming job with the belt on. Sevan raked all the grass and trimmings and filled a green bin almost to the top! 90 minutes passed and the garden looked much more tame than before.
