Pins not Needles tonight
10 GoodGymers made their way to help the Rotary Club of the Wreake Valley in Leicester.

Yet another trip to the Peepul Centre vaccine hub but today, something completely different. No vaccinations today so no needles to be seen but we had plenty of pins! 10 of us made light work of putting timing chips on 500 race numbers for the forthcoming Watermead Challenge which we shall also be helping at and running in. Not only chips though. To save 500 sets of fingers dipping into a box of pins, the safety pins had been pre arranged into 4s and our task was to pin 4 to each number - the kind of mind numbing job that would take the poor race director (Dave) all day, but with many hands making light work, all done in 25 minutes.
