Popping online for post non-parkrun coffee!
11 GoodGymers made their way on a training session in Islington.
- Saturday, 11th of April 2020

Our first Saturday morning coffee meet-up was a success, with 11 Goodymmers from Islington, Bristol, Hackney and Blackheath all logging on at 10am for a catch-up. The plan was to replicate the experience of a post-parkrun coffee and breakfast with friends, but from safely from the comfort of your own home.
A few of our participants had already been out and about this morning. Matt participated in the Skyrunner Virtual Race Series, Aidan ran some laps around Blackheath in the sun and Kike had made it out for a local cycle outdoors before following it up with a turbo trainer session. Trainer Simon enjoyed a third cup of coffee and toast...
Steve Lee, Aidan, James and Latoya had also completed missions last week, involving shopping trips and pharmacy pick-ups for isolating people in their communities. We also talked about the recent news that GG HQ are starting to look for operations volunteers to meet the upcoming swell of missions becoming available on the website![
Dharmesh mentioned about a fun run selfie page set up by GG Redbridge, acting as a posting location for celebrate everyone's 5km running activities in lieu of parkrun. Follow along here!
It was an absolute pleasure to catch up with everyone, and we are looking forward to logging on again next week.
Same time (10am). Same place (your home). Stay safe!
