Today's litter pick was sponsored by the letter "P". (I'll have a P please Bob).
John started us off by finding a pencil (kept for the tool box) and a pound (bonus!) but then broke his picker. 😔 Although it is probably fixable with his engineering mind.
I found a pen and a pink peg. As well as plenty of poo bags.
Mel was recycling captain and had a lot of plastic bottles, but also beer bottles and lots of cans (mostly strongbow!). She also found a fishing net with some kids toys, they looked pretty clean so we decided to leave them in a conspicuous place in case someone comes back to find Nemo!
Vicki was quietly celebrating her 50th good deed whilst also going off piste and into the bushes to empty out garden waste from some heavy duty plastic sacks which will be repurposed on the allotment. Hopefully the black tshirt won't take too long to get posted out!
An hour passed very quickly and we covered a greater distance than usual which must mean there was less litter, definitely a good sign.
