Pruning and Plogging at Penny Pie Park
5 GoodGymers made their way 2.9km to help the Penny Pie Park in Barnsley.
- Tuesday, 17th of July 2018
- Led by Stephen Gilmer
Barnsley's second Community Mission saw the fab five meet at Shaw Lane and jog the mile to Penny Pie Park where we met Tim, and new goodgym Barnsley mascot Ginny, who enthusiastically got us to work on several tasks within the park.
Pruning back a stubborn tree stump, filling in some uneven ground and litter picking were all on the cards this evening as we enjoyed the glorious evening sunshine.
In no time we had finished off what needed to be done and had a chance to chat with Tim, who kindly provided some refreshments, and play fetch with Ginny before we headed back to our starting point.
We ended the evening with a ballet inspired stretch led by Kim with everyone looking forward to next week's Group Run.
