This evening was our first GG Groups Run in over a year and it was great running together as a group.
We met at WWF and started to run along the canal towards St John’s. We welcomed back Adam who has been away for a few months during the lockdown. With litter pickers in hand we headed off at the time it was dry and James came up with a suggestion that whenever we find rubbish 10 press up’s had to be done. It wasn’t long until we were all doing pushing 10 with Anne showing the boys how it was done.💪🏼
As we got to the first bridge the heavens opened and there was an apocalyptic downpour ⛈ but the James who was full of suggestions this evening said we should run through the storm to the next bridge which was around the corner, little did we know that the bridge James was referring to had nowhere to shelter we all where soaked through. Adam kept doing his push up’s and star jumps whenever litter was picked up. After running through huge puddles we got to St John’s bridge when finally the rain stopped. We disposed the litter that we picked up along the way in the bins and headed back.
James and Adam very competitive as always trying to out sprint each other, quite funny watching them two. 🏃🏼♂️
Next Week we are at the RSPCA weeding in the dog enclosure
