Rearranging Sunday
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Hackney.
- Sunday, 31st of March 2019
On this Mothering Sunday Abi and I met at the residence of Ms R and she did not wait around for some small chit chat, she was very keen for us to rummage through and help rearrange a store cupboard of all sort of delights. We quickly realised that there was a clear abundance of plastic bags so we started a collection of them. In typical and true organisation GoodGym style we developed a "charity shop" pile, a "rubbish" pile, "heavy stuff" pile and finally "I'll keep that" pile..... We came across various hair dressing equipments, wallpaper rolls, old birthday cards, fabric materials, sandwich maker and the soda machine (that was what she was really after). After 30 minutes of going through that we were then directed to another cupboard in another room and was asked to remove all the wallpaper rolls in there by placing the untouched ones in the cupboard we just tidied up and recycle the open and the old. After an hour Ms R was very pleased with the end result and thanked us for reuniting her with her soda machine and made sure we washed our dirty helping hands.
