When the NHS Responder app (Good SAM) went off with the siren, I picked up the message about an elderly and isolated person 4 streets away. Calling her it became clear that everything was just getting on top of her. She had spoken with the GP on the phone this morning and had enough groceries and medication, but was struggling with pain and coping with getting around the house. We talked for 20 mins and by the end were celebrating all of the things that she had achieved, and the way that she was pacing the tasks with rest and taking care of herself. I sent her a virtual hug down the phone line and she sounded much more positive by the end. Updated the app, and kept my fingers crossed that she will be OK.
