Return of the bed guys
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Wandsworth.
- Sunday, 14th of April 2019
Here's what Mrs s of SW18 had to say about the mission:
Mrs S called to say thanks for the helping planting the bulbs. She mentioned that she had a chance to show the runners a pictyre of her bulbs in bloom from last year (after some great work from Frances in 2018!) so they could imagine what all their hard work would result in. Well done for brightening up the garden both.
Ms S's flower bed was the talk of the street last summer. Following a few visits from Goodgym to remove turf, prep the soil and plant bulbs, the dahlias provided a fantastic display that brought Ms S and her neighbours great joy for the warmer months. However, winter came and the plants couldn't weather it. So, with spring rolling around we visited the little South London oasis and spent a couple of happy hours digging out the old bulbs, turning the earth and planting new dahlias. It was a delight to be back and to see Ms S's pictures of how lovely the garden turned out to be last summer, let's just hope our creative colour coordinations can prove to be as successful.

Well done both - while we're not able to offer regular support, it's nice to get the chance to come back after a year and see how things have changed.
