Rich pickings
5 GoodGymers made their way to help the Portsmouth Residents & Visitors in Portsmouth.

Sometimes there are a few random perks from litter picking - apart from the task satisfaction and the exercise. Sometimes you find treasure! Today we found the princely sum of 17p, a teddy mug, a Xmas bauble, a pint glass and two sealed choccie bars, which Sarah promised us she was going to eat!
This was our 3rd visit to the path alongside Winston Churchill Avenue and we wore hi-viz so that we could tackle the trapped litter and recyclables on the road side of the fence. But the grass bank was alarmingly steep and the prickly bushes were too vicious.
Even so, we managed to reach the majority of the bottles, cans and litter - we have certainly made a difference to this little piece of Portsmouth.
Thanks to Sarah & Val for the photos.
