Roll With It 🌀
3 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Wandsworth.
- Saturday, 16th of June 2018
Our task in Clapham this afternoon was to tidy and weed around in the garden, and install some edging roll to create borders.
David and I hadn't come far to get there, but Neil had really put the 'gym’ into 'GoodGym,’ running 18 miles from Dartford!
Some edging roll had already been put in, so the first bit we put in collinear with that. Wanting to mark it out first to keep it nice and straight, we learned our host didn't have any string to hand - undeterred, we tied a LAN cable to a shoelace and were away.
A raised walled bed at the end had succumbed to weeds, so whilst Neil and I meddled with the edging roll, David thoroughly cleared it. Being a bit higher, this area should be easier for our host to get down to to re-plant.
With the weeds gone and the edging roll installed, we quickly potted some newly purchased ferns for the front step of the house, enjoyed some fruit juice with our host, and were on our way.
