Rooting around for the ginger
1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Hackney.

When I called Ms P ahead of the mission to get her shopping list she was most happy to explain it over the phone in delightful detail. As she was recovering she was on a mission of her own to get as much healthy fruit and vegetables juiced as possible to bring her back to full health, and with a family to support she needed a few other key essential items too.
It meant my second visit to Sainsbury's in Dalston in a manner of days and it was pleasing to see they were even better stocked than my trip last week, and I scurried around with increasing familiarity hoovering up the items she was after. As much of it was in the fresh produce section it made for a very concentrated effort and in no time I'd got almost everything I needed. Took a little longer to hunt down the quantity of ginger she had specified ("loads") but I think I got sufficient to keep her smoothies gingery enough for a while!
I deposited all the goods on her doorstep and gave her a call to ensure that I'd got the right door (I had) and that she was able to get her hands on the bags (she was) before I set off for my parkrun replacement 5K - thanks for Kat for setting up the challenge for the Tower Hamlets heroes for today!
