Mrs W's front and back gardens are small but had got quite over grown, this task was clearly going to take more than one round to get them under control. I volunteered to take one of the strimmers to tackle the front leaving Anna to start on the back. Using a rechargeable strimmer was a first for me. Considering the length of the grass, I thought it performed well for twenty minutes, then the charge died! The majority the of cutting was complete though. Then off to the back garden. Somewhere, hidden by the grass, was a pond Mrs W told us. Our task was to at least make it visible before we left. Another first for me was using a rechargeable lawnmower, Anna used the electric strimmer and hand shears to tame some of the grass. The lawnmower then went over the trimmed grass making an instant transformation. The charge lasted about 30 mins, but our goal of making the pond visible was achieved.
