Safe chair of hands
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Hackney.
- Thursday, 19th of March 2020
Kapil and I met in Hackney spot on 7pm having come from Haringey and Tower Hamlets respectively, getting a much appreciated workout on the way, having been stuck inside all day working from our homes.
We careened up a few flights of stairs to meet Ms M's daughter who had already begun - she had tackled the easy bits leaving us with the dismantling of the multipart sofa and the moving of a rather unwieldy armchair in order to make room for Ms M's imminent return from hospital.
It transpires that Kapil is a dab hand with a multi-tool and between us we had the sofa in 4 parts in double quick time and transferred into the spare room for storage, which just left the cumbersome armchair to shunt ungracefully into the hallway, much to the delight of Ms M's appreciative daughter.
