Saving the Paving
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Bristol.
- Saturday, 7th of March 2020
Richard and I met up on the outskirts of town to help out Mr M in his garden. He told us that a little way across the field behind his garden was the start of North Somerset and also pointed out the gate over on yonder hill where he and his wife used to stop for a cuddle when out for a walk in the countryside many moons ago!
Mr M has always been very proud of his garden which he took great care to keep tidy, but sadly is unable to maintain these days leading to lots of pesky weeds sprouting up everywhere, so it was a pleasure to go and help restore a bit of order.
We agreed a game plan to tidy up the front driveway first and, using an array of tools on offer, managed to get this looking a bit more shipshape, before starting on the paved patio area outside the back door, so that Mr M has some nice clear space to enjoy.
Great to catch up with Richard this afternoon and make Mr M’s outlook a bit brighter at the same time.
