Feed the Hill supply fresh food to locals round Lewisham. They have great fresh produce and I recognise some faces now. We queue a little with our trollies, sit inside their colourful, comfy hub and then the volunteers dish out the goods. I’d phoned Ms L who’s been having seasonal allergies, so requested fresh and spicy stuff! They delivered with some chili noodles, a luscious head of broccoli 🥦, peaches, onions, pasta, tins of tomato and frozen chicken frankfurters. Even though I only walk 5 minutes from hub to hers, it’s hot out, so lucky they are frozen… Ms L remembered me from putting together her dresser in the Winter. She asked about my trip to Jamaica, cause she’s familiar with the Island 🏝️, and complimented my Summer vibes which was lovely 🥰! It was a nice chance to chat to a neighbour and feedback her thanks to the Feed the Hill Community. Little dog waited patiently outside nibbling on grass, and I promised him his own bit of chicken for once we got home. 🦴
