Santa Claus is Coming to Town!!
Tonight he was visiting the streets of Welling. 5 GoodGymers met in Welling ready for the arrival of Santa.
We were met by Deborah from Greenwich and Bexley Hospice as well as the Bexley Rotary Club members.
Buckets and hi-vis tabards were handed out as we congregated, ready to leave.
Our task was to stay ahead of Santa's sleigh and knock on the doors of houses to collect donations and let them know that Santa was coming!!
It is always great to see the children waiting in the street, and knocking on doors to people who have already prepared their donations on the windowsill, or the last minute rush for coins and shoes to run out to see the sleigh.
Despite the rain, spirits were high as we danced around the streets spreading Christmas cheer!
It didn't seem like long until we were back where we had started.
We had a quick picture with Santa himself before packing everything away and saying our goodbyes!
