Cleverly, the shopping list was provided in advance which I was all the more grateful for as specific to Waitrose where queues are notoriously extensive .. I opted for an early start but not early enough as the queue started by West Ealing station - eek! (I joked with the security guard it felt like a queue for a theme park ride such was the excitement for people’s weekly shop!).

Once in, thankfully I quickly sourced the specific items which off-set the long queuing time!

Back home then out the door again this time with family in tow (thank you Tony and baby Henry!) for our “daily exercise”, we jogged c3.5km to Mr B’s through some beautiful Ealing parks bursting with spring colours. Such a beautiful run despite Tony prescribing interval running to make us work harder!

The glorious sunshine was matched only by Mr B and his family’s warm welcome and thanks (from a safe distance)! It was a pleasure seeing them and knowing how it has helped them during this difficult time of isolation.
