The chill was very real last night, probably one of our coldest runs, so the perfect time to go hard and push out a 4k each way with the 3 A's.

Caravanserai was our destination: it sat in a much more sombre state from our last Light Festival prep visit. This time we tasked with dismantling the wooden entrance shelter to make use of the materials elsewhere. With recycling in mind we were unable to go in all guns blazing; instead we took the softly softly approach so as not to break the beams into pieces. However, progress was slow with just a drill. That's when we were introduced to the BIG DAWGS (sorry I watched too much Apprentice)

  • Crowbar
  • Mallet
  • Hammers

We all took it up a notch hammering away at various angles and weakening those ridiculously tough joints - whoever constructed this did not want it to come down... EVER!.

Site manager Che and Andrew took the reigns here whilst the rest of us slightly limited by our lack of height got to work on some drills and bounding. Within 10mins the structure was down, separated and put to one side. We were keen to get moving again to prevent any muscle tightness, so we cruised back across the A13 and once we reached the Greenway we made our way back to the park in an orderly fashion with caterpillar runs. Speed.....relax.....speed.....relax

Good surges everyone!!!

See you next week or this Saturday for round 2

Kirsty
