Stop! ...... Hammer Time!
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Bristol.
- Sunday, 2nd of August 2020
Whilst Lewis Hamilton was winning yet another Grand Prix, Aidan and I were having our own Hammer Time in Easton, where we met up to finish off securing Ms R’s fence.
Ms R had bought some fence posts following our previous visit so our task today was to dig some holes then bash the posts into the ground with a hammer and then nail these onto our previous construction.
Fortunately I had also manage to locate a few extra strips of wood which we were able to attach to the posts to leave the whole construction feeling far more sturdy.
With a bit of twine we managed to shore up a couple of areas before attaching the floral effect that Ms R had bought to cover the fence and give her garden a very summery feel.
She was very grateful to everyone who has helped out on her project over the past few weeks to get her garden usable and pretty again and we hope that she’ll have a few more summer days to enjoy it this year - “you’ve left me with a grin on my face!” she exclaimed.
Great to meet and work alongside Aidan for the first time too!

Great job finishing the fence 😊
Look at that fence! Great work both - sounds like Ms R is very grateful too!
