With rain forecast and possibly the longest run so far, we had a great turn out of amazing runners for our latest run – super troopers indeed.
For this week’s run the plan was to head all the way out east to Troopers Hill. We met at Roll for the Soul and headed out via Temple Meads, with the full range of silly walk warm ups on the way. It was a great run along the river, winding our way to the task. We had a couple of detours due to closed paths, which meant an even further run, but we stuck at it and showed some impressive determination.
This week’s task was at Troopers Hill, a heath nature reserve. Our task was to cut down and take out lots of Brambles, vital to maintain the area as a heath and to enable lots of rare plants to flower. We then headed back along the river path, through Netham Park, down Feeder Road, across Castle Park and back to Roll for the Soul for some soup –p-per trooup-p-per
