Telly-visionaries
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Haringey.
- Tuesday, 9th of July 2019
This morning's mission was big one, helping Mr G move unwanted furniture and equipment that has been cluttering up his home whilst he recovers from knee surgery.
Thanks to GoodGym, Latoya and I have become semi-professional at moving large heavy objects through tricky spaces and we were happy to put our skills to good use.
Among the many items we shifted down the stairs and into the garden were: three dismantled wardrobes, kitchen cupboard doors, a dressing table and drawers, some large glass shower doors, the remains of a cooker, six black bags of assorted rubbish, three DVD players, three stereo systems, two VCR players .....and no less than five TVs.
All of these items will be collected later in the day to be re-homed or recycled, giving Mr G the space to recover in comfort.
After a demanding task and a great workout (who needs the gym???), Latoya and I wished Mr G well then headed off for some much needed caffeine.
