Mission

Tescontainer love

1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Lambeth.

Oh, what a mission. First, this cat followed me around the estate where Mrs M. lives. Then we talked for a long time through her window on the ground floor - she thinks I have a Polish accent (any Polish person is bound to disagree). Then I went to the post office and posted two parcels for her. What made me smile: there was a dog waiting outside the chicken shop next door. After that, I went to the closest Tesco Express, to be told there is a bigger Tesco in some kind of car park five minutes down the road. That Tesco was in a container (Richard Osman would call this a tescontainer), but couldn't find the right eggs nor cheese nor half of what was on her list. Two phone calls later, and after substituting a few things, I made my way back to a very, very grateful lady who didn't stop thanking me and praising all volunteers. Turns out there was another Tesco close by, so I actually went to the wrong one. Lesson learnt: Next time I'll ask :)

Lovely and entertaining report Katrin! I hope the dog wasn't waiting in vain!
