The Big Bramble
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Wandsworth.
- Sunday, 13th of September 2020
Following on from Effie and Idura's heroic efforts in Mrs S' garden last weekend, Sarah and I met up to have another go at taming the brambles and general weediness that had taken over. Any greenery that had been cut up last time had dried out and this made it a fair bit easier to bag up. As ever, brambles are not the most co-operative at being tamed, but we made some further inroads into the remaining mound.
To add to the collection of things found last time (Effie and Idura may be pleased to know that all the tennis balls have now been returned to Mrs S' young neighbour, hopefully that won't be quite so tricky in future) a further tennis ball, a garden chair and a pretty decent looking barbeque base. After a couple of hours and many bags later, we made a retreat, the BBQ base tantalisingly close to being usable. Perhaps another mission might be able to make that happen.
Nice to meet you today Sarah, hope we'll cross gardening paths again!
