The Bramblee brothers have got competition!
1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Coventry.
- Wednesday, 13th of October 2021
One GoodGym member cycled 14 miles to help Mr and Mrs J clear part of their garden.
After cycling her old route to work towards University Hospital, Katherine took a detour to the task only getting slightly lost around the Sowe Valley path.
Having arrived Katherine discovered that the task was not quite the grass cutting and weeding that she was expecting, but was instead clearing some brambles and plants from the garden border. Never one to be deterred by a last minute change of plan, Katherine rose to the challenge and started chopping away merrily. Only slight panic ensued when she thought she had accidentally chopped through some fairy lights, but thankfully it was confirmed these were old and hadn't worked for ages - phew! She managed to complete the entire border, fitting all the nasty brambles in the brown wheelie bin and leaving a neat pile of other cuttings that didn't quite fit to be put in the wheelie bin when it's next emptied.
Katherine then cycled home a similar route that ended up being over a mile shorter than the route there. Perhaps she'd got slightly more lost around the Sowe Valley Path on the way there than she'd realised...
