Who runs the world? Girls! And so GoodGym girls ran GoodGym’s community mission today.
6 of us ladies ran, walked and cycled all the way down to St Paul's Shadwell to help Task Owners Michael and Peter continue with the digging we started last week. More roots and bricks were dug up and removed. More soil was shovelled into wheelbarrows and shoved into garden bags for removal by the Council.
Incidently we also squatted, deadlifted and more generally worked out those glutes, quads, biceps, triceps and shoulders. In 90 minutes, we managed to remove as much soil as the 5-strong group we had last week! Well done Ladies!
I expect Michael will want us back next week as more work is needed but nothing has been confirmed yet. Stay tuned!
What's next in Tower Hamlets?
- On Monday, we are back at Meath Gardens to clear the remaining brambles along the canal
- On Tuesday and Thursday Laura will be leading a small group to deliver home cooked food/fruits for St Hilda's. Sign up here for Tuesday and here for Thursday
