The root of this problem was a forking mystery!
5 GoodGymers made their way to help their local community in York.
- Wednesday, 6th of September 2017
5 runners rocked up fresh from the day to finish a previously a tough task which has needed 1 visit from Goodgym before, and from another group before that!
Met by Iain with a van load of handy tools we got stuck straight in, picking up where we left off so the Aviva team could then replant and look after the area.
This fork was bent when I picked it up, the roots straightened it! - Egg
The tough carpet of roots soon started to give, piling into two impressive mini mountains to the side. At one point an epic body sized ( and suspiciously shaped ) chunk came out in one - taking 4 people to carry!
There could be a body in that one! - Sean
With minutes to go we all crowded around the remaining tough patch, getting the last of the deep roots up leaving just a quick raking by Iain to finish the job and Ellie looking like she spent the whole hour just rolling around in the soil!
