The Shakespearean title of this report is apt, as we definitely had some comedy moments, a few minor tragedies (mainly broken strimmers and thorns in fingers), but finally felt we’d made history with the completion of a gargantuan task.

Mr S greeted us brightly at the door and showed us to the strimmer and the mower, and we got stuck into the swathes of overgrown grass. The job was made more difficult by the brambles, stickyweed and thickets of tougher grass but we soldiered on, felling the tall stuff with the strimmer and then giving everything a good going over with the mower.

Mr S was following behind with binliners to pick up the mountains of cuttings, and kept us refreshed with a very welcome glass of OJ just at the right moment.

At one point it looked like we might have taken on too much but we got there in the end and left another very satisfied GG customer!
