Mission

These are no ordinary tomatoes...

1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Camden.

Friday morning and I found myself once again at the Waitrose in the Brunswick Centre - this time with no queue. Mrs J's shopping list was short but very specific on exactly what she wanted - in these randomly empty shelf times that can always be a bit of a concern - but not today.

Mrs J knew her local supermarket shelves well, and the shelves were co-operating and within 15 minutes I'd got everything on her list, including the specifically described £2.50 tomatoes (as these are the ones that have any flavour) and the Saint Agur cheese "Not the one you squeeze"...A quick walk back upstairs to Mrs J's flat, who was delighted with her produce, we had a brief chat about how few people were in Waitrose this morning and then bid each other a friendly farewell.

Compared to a few other recent shopping missions, this certainly was no ordinary shopping experience, but then again they certainly weren't any ordinary tomatoes either...
