8 ran to the homeless shelter to deliver Easter eggs

An Eggcellent idea

Despite chaos on the trains 8 Goodgymers met for an Eggcellent adventure. After late confirmation from the shelter we decided to go and buy the eggs as part of the task so set off to Oaklands park for our warm up and a session before the task began.

Eggcersise! a warm up and some running drills were executed with precision before we attempted some back to back pairs squats, which were slightly less successful!

you can always relay on us...

Once thoroughly warmed up we split into 2 teams and ran a relay on the field with 2 laps each. It was a closely fought battle throughout and both teams finished eggs-hausted but happy.

a lidl adventure

The team then set off to Tesco to find some Easter eggs, but on arrival we saw the selection had been severely depleted and we decided to head further round to Lidl to see if they had a bigger selection. Much happier there we ended up with almost twice as many eggs as runners and set off to the shelter do deliver them.

This task was an important one for us as such a small thing can make a huge difference to someone. We are also happy to have completed our first task for the shelter and hope to do more for them in the coming months.
