Monika & Cathy Friday am.
A 3 Pigeons session on a Friday morning, is a great way to start the weekend. Two Goodgymers attended the 3 Pigeons plot on a lovely, sunny morning. We were amazed and dwarfed by the growth of all the beautiful plants and flowers by the little wharf.
Loads of bumblebees kept us company as we started with weeding and watering. And we were pleased to see plenty of spiders scurrying around. Not only great for the plants, but also for the insect hotel! We also had plenty of passers by stop and have a chat, it was a lovely Friday morning.
Anita, Friday afternoon Worried about the lack of rain, I headed over to the Three Pigeons expecting a marathon session of watering but found ( thanks to Monika and Cathy's earlier efforts) that things weren't as dried out as I had been expected. So some watering, a whole lot of weeding, lots of praise for our gardening work, plus a few one-off tasks identified for Sunday's Small group Session.
Kate, Saturday Morning
As it was set to be a hot weekend, I went early on Saturday to give the plot a drink. I carried up 24 buckets of water to dowse the ground and as is becoming tradition, I couldn't help but pull up a few pesky 'Gallant soldier' weeds I spotted along the way... 3 buckets full it turns out. I also tidied up a few brown looking leaves & to my surprise found 2 earwigs living in one, so I made them guests at the hotel!
